CNC Turner Setter – Late Shift

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: Competitive – Dependent on Experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Shift: Permanent Late Shift – 4-Day Working Week

The Opportunity

Precision Talent Network is recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Basingstoke.

Our client specialises in manufacturing high-quality, precision-engineered components for demanding industries, including motorsport, automotive and aerospace.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner who is confident setting machines independently, working to tight tolerances and maintaining consistently high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Select and set tooling, offsets, speeds and feeds.
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
Make programme adjustments and minor edits where required.
Work to tight tolerances and maintain high standards of accuracy.
Identify and resolve machining issues to minimise downtime.
Ensure components are manufactured to the required quality standards.

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter within a precision engineering environment.
Ability to confidently set CNC lathes independently.
Experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls would be advantageous.
Good understanding of cutting tools, machining processes and materials.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Confident using precision measuring equipment.
Experience producing components to tight tolerances.
Reliable, self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Permanent late shift.
Four-day working week.
Fridays off as part of the normal working pattern.
